AC Pickleball Shootout

This is a great way to play with players of different skill levels and you can both teach and learn from, while still having a fun atmosphereGreate Bay Shootout

How does the shootout work?
There are 4 or 5 players on each court.  Courts with 4 players will play games to 11, courts with 5 players will play games to 8. All games are won by 1.  You play with a different partner each game.  After each game the player's scores are recorded on the score sheet.  After all games are players the top 2 players move up 1 court, the bottom 2 move down 1 court and the second round is played.   At the end of the second round points for the day are totaled and posted.  Each player will have a ranking calculated which will place him/her on a specific court next time they come. More information HERE.

Do I have to play every week?
No.  Players come whenever they are available.  The courts will get populated with the players with the higher ranking / points playing on court 1, the next 4/5 on court 2 and the next 4/5 in court 3 etc..   The scoring system will keep players of similar playing ability playing together.

Can other people join?
Yes.  Simply register for Signup Genius and send us your Name and email. Your name will be added to the shootout list.

What is the maximum number of players we can have in the shootout?
We can track 150 players in the system over a 20 week period with a maximum of 30 players per session.

How do I know what court I will start on?
Court assignments are based on how many players are registered for the shootout and their individual standings.   The higher the standing the closer to court 1 they will start. We will put 4 players on each court and back fill additional players from starting from court 6.
